Begin with prevention and reuse
Review whether equipment can remain in use, return to an internal team, or follow an approved reuse route. Product restrictions, data requirements, and condition still determine what is suitable. Keep the owner's release decision attached to the inventory.
Recover materials with a defined destination
Separate streams where that makes a confirmed treatment route possible. Mixed materials and contamination can limit recovery, so request acceptance before combining or dispatching stock. Track reuse, recycling, organics treatment, energy recovery, and disposal separately when relevant.
Make progress measurable
Set a baseline for the materials and sites in scope. Report quantities, units, periods, evidence, and any pending outcomes. A zero-waste ambition is a direction for improvement, not proof that every project achieves complete diversion or regeneration.
